Business As Usual

That time when you have been professionally putting someone on for a minute. Making connections, making money and creating other opportunities for this person or group of people who have been accessible, engaging and grateful...until, you need something in return.

I know this has to sound familiar, because it happens all the time. You are in a professional relationship with someone or multiple people and things are cool. You have a great working relationship and you are making money together. The defining factor in this relationship is that you are bringing the bulk of the value to the table.

Obviously, the relationship itself holds value, but the forward motion is solely being created by one person. Then the person driving the value needs something. Something that is completely attainable and not outside of reason. Yet, your professional parter doesn't deliver, rather chooses not to deliver. What do you do?

Of course you are mad, even hurt; but it's a business situation so emotions are better left out. Has a line been crossed? Will the relationship now be tarnished because of this 'crack' in what seemed to be a strong partnership when only one side was delivering.

As disappointing as this scenario is, the hustle doesn't stop. So I guess you just pick yourself up, learn what you can from it and keep it moving.
