Black People Travel

Take my money… I mean, my friends and I travel all the time. In groups, in pairs, in the country, internationally. You name it, we’ve been there.

Randomly, I was having a conversation with a friend talking about brand dollars… I mean, not uncommon for me.. it’s what I do for a living, work with brands. In any event, with this particular convo, we were talking about how little brands invest in black communities, specifically as it pertains to travel.

Brands don’t think black people travel. There is SO MUCH money to be made… and yet, we probably couldn’t pay them to invest in us. What is that about? Of all the things to discriminate against, we don’t need to add travel to the list.

This particular brand was like, we just don’t invest enough…shoulder shrug… so as you can see, it is a real priority.

NO programs geared towards black travelers, black families, black singles, black couples… I mean the money moves are endless.

Guess we just need to travel louder, and maybe one day… the travel industry will catch up.
